Rob McKenna (R) and Jay Inslee (D) had their first debate of the 2012 gubernatorial campaign Tuesday in Spokane. Unprepared, ill-informed and woolly thinking, Insley was no match for the incisive McKenna.
The one criticism of McKenna seems to be that he is “lawyerly”. Inslee is a lawyer. Current governor Christine Gregoire is a lawyer. Her predecessor Gary Locke is a lawyer. Washington voters have a thing about lawyers.
